 Dr. Susan Wilkinson |
I am Dr. Susan Wilkinson and I’m a 2000 graduate of the
Ontario Veterinary College. I really enjoy new puppy &
kitten visits and soft tissue surgery. I also have a special
place in my heart for our geriatric patients. My personal
menagerie includes 3 dogs (and we’re very excited about the
upcoming arrival of a new
Bernese Mountain Dog puppy), 3
cats, 2 horses, and a donkey. At least one dog always
accompanies me to the clinic daily. I’m very involved in dog
training & showing (conformation, obedience, drafting,
tracking & herding). I’m very excited and pleased to bring a
full-service veterinary hospital to the community of Delhi
and surrounding area. |

Tammy started working in the veterinary field 19 years ago.
First, starting out just as a part time kennel worker after
high school and then later moving to another clinic to
eventually move up to reception. Over the years she has
acquired various skills through “hands on” experiences;
including assisting in surgery, radiology, laboratory and
routine patient care.
Even as a young girl, Tammy had a great deal of interest in
animals. She remembers growing up on a 100 acre dairy farm
and then later at the age of 8 moving next door to another
dairy farm. Her family had many cats (14 at one point) and
always had a dog whether it be indoor or outdoor. She also
remembers having rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils,
budgies, cockatiels, a horse and even a few pet raccoons and
a skunk in her early teens. Her mom even caught her and her
brother once playing with garter snakes in the long grass.
Tammy lives with her spouse Brent on their small 3 acre
hobby farm they bought last year. Right now their
“four-legged” family consists of “Piper” a cocker spaniel,
“Mr. Bigglesworth” a tabby kitten, “Dash” the ferret,
“Xander” the turtle and a aquarium full of various aquatic
creatures such as crabs, shrimp and catfish.

Lori - Registered Veterinary Technician |
Since the age of three, Lori has always wanted to work with
animals! She would purposely “go out” and find so-called
strays and bring them home, whether they needed a home or
not! She attended a two year program at St. Clair College,
in Windsor, and graduated as a Registered Veterinary
Technician. She has been in the animal field for 24 years
where she assists the doctor during appointments and in the
surgical suite, where she enjoys every minute.
Lori also sits on the Board Of Directors for the Brant
County Wildlife Rescue . Injured or orphaned wildlife is
brought to her where she has them assessed by a
veterinarian, who determines if they are good candidates to
be fostered out to care-givers for rehabilitation. They are
then released back to the wild when they are ready.
Lori lives on a hobby farm with her husband, Jim, and three
children, Jordan, Jenna and Jake. Their “four-legged” family
members includes “Gracie”, a 5 year old mare; “Joey”, a 10
year old pony; “Lady Bug” the collie; “K.C.” the Jack
Russell Terrier; “Tappy”, “June Bug"” & “Isabella” the cats;
“Cheeka” the guinea pig and “Oreo” the bunny. |

Lindsay started in the field of veterinary medicine in
October 2006, directly after completing the Medical Office
Assistant course. She has always had a special place in her
heart for animals and loves everyday that she gets to spend
with them. As soon as you walk in the doors of Big Creek
Veterinary Hospital, the first thing you’ll see is her
smiling face. She has a 4 1/2 year old purebred Boxer named
“Tyson” who is a complete goofball. Lindsay has also been
blessed with a 3 year old lab mixed named “Lennox”. He
was found as a stray pup with a collar embedded into his
neck and dragging a nylon rope behind him. Lennox also had a
deformed leg which was ultimately amputated to prevent any
future discomfort or difficulties. He can keep up
with the best of ‘em even with only 3 legs!! Tyson joins
Lindsay at work everyday and substitutes as a client
greeter.
Lindsay spends much of her spare
time with her 1 and 3/4 dogs, as well as furthering her
education in the field of veterinary medicine at every
opportunity possible |
